On Saturday May 13, I graduated! It’s hard to believe that four years of Bryn Mawr have gone by so fast. Sadly, it rained on graduation, but the ceremony was still held outside under the tent on Merion Green and all 332 of us undergrad seniors graduated.
This post is way overdue, but the past week leading up to graduation was Senior Week — a time for the seniors to celebrate their end of finals and last few days at the college. Our class presidents Priyanka and Hannah planned a week full of fun activities and trips. Senior Week also consists of some unique Bryn Mawr traditions. I had a lot of fun spending time with my friends and my fellow classmates. Continue reading
I am back from a blogging hiatus to tell you that… I’M DONE! In the span of the past week, I have completed 2 finals.
My favorite tradition! My last tradition! All the feelings! Thankful to have spent the day with friends, family (yes, my parents and grandmother came!), alums, and the Bryn Mawr community. (Also thankful it was warm and did not rain.) Continue reading
My last class of my undergraduate career: Anatomy and Physiology 9-10am, Park 127. It did not feel like an ending to anything yet because I still had 3 assignments to hand in later that day: Microbio summary on my microbe P. shermanii, Physics problem set, and an exercise physiology lab for A & P. On top of that, I had my usual internship at Center for Asian Health. Continue reading
One thing was just crossed off my senior year to-do list: dinner with KCass! By Bryn Mawr tradition, all graduating seniors are invited to KCass’s house at Pen Y Groes to eat dinner. The event is semiformal and is a time to socialize and celebrate our college careers. Food is catered by Wyndham and KCass visits each table to talk for a little. Continue reading
Today I treated myself to a massage by Mawrssage, an aromatherapy massage experience run by Bryn Mawr student Jessica JubJub Breet ’18. I was feeling sore from the recent dance concert this past weekend and concerned about my pre-carpal tunnel symptoms. After my thirty minute session, I felt rejuvenated and relaxed. Just in time for finals — just kidding! Continue reading
From auditions, to rehearsals, to extra rehearsals, and dress and tech (don’t forget the makeup), my undergraduate dance career all came to a finish this past weekend at the Spring Dance Concert. Dancing in the Bryn Mawr Dance Program has been an integral part of my college experience, and I will never forget the technique, artistry, and professionalism I learned from the many choreographers and teachers I have been honored to work with. Continue reading
Who says parties at a women’s college can’t be fun?!? No one. On Saturday night, my close friend and two of her friends hosted a joint birthday party in the Rhoads Common Room. The three of them (all seniors) have April birthdays and were turning 22. With some themed decorations, they turned the common room (which is beautiful already because we go to school in a castle) into a dance floor with tables on the side filled with chips, drinks, and a cake. I received an unexpected message earlier this week that my cousin was going to visit me! She is currently a high school junior and is touring colleges now. Of course, I was eager to pitch my school to her and all the wonderful thing Bryn Mawr provides. Continue reading
